Cat's eye moonstone is a special variety of moonstone (a feldspar mineral) that shows a unique optical effect called chatoyancy, creating a bright, moving band of light across its surface that resembles a cat's eye, often combined with its usual soft, glowing shimmer (adularescence) in colors like pale blue, gray, or peach, making it a prized, ethereal gemstone for jewelry.
